Sharing to Instagram Business Stories FAQ

Q: Why am I unable to share a square or rectangle post to my Instagram Business stories?
A: The suggested aspect ratio format of sharing a story is 9:16 or in other words, a tall aspect ratio. This makes the user professional since the pixels are aligned with the story post requirement. Currently, Ripl supports only a tall aspect ratio to post to stories. If sharing a square or landscape post to stories is inevitable, the user can still do so by selecting "Save to Photos" on the final "Caption Your Post" screen and sharing it in an Instagram account as a story.

Q: Why am I unable to share a tall post to my Instagram Business feed?
A: Instagram Business API doesn’t allow tall posts to be shared to feed. Since it is not supported on Instagram itself, Ripl is unable to share a tall post to the Instagram Business feed for the user.

Q: Why am I landing on the wrong account on Instagram when I share my stories?
A: When a user is about to launch Instagram by tapping on the “Launch Instagram” button, Ripl is no longer able to choose which account the user should be sharing to. In such cases, the user should check if they are in the correct account before selecting “Launch Instagram”.

Q: Why am I unable to share my post on Instagram by tapping on “Launch Instagram”?
A: If you have installed your Instagram app after you connected your Instagram account with Ripl, you will need to make sure that Instagram has permissions to your camera roll. You can verify this by checking the permissions in your phone settings and making sure Instagram is included in the list of apps that have permission to access your camera roll.

Please note: this feature is currently only available on the iOS and Android mobile app.
