Missing Facebook Pages and/or Business Instagram accounts

Currently, Facebook Pages and Business Instagram accounts are sometimes missing from Ripl due to a recent update in Facebook Permissions. Unfortunately, this is an issue on Facebook's end.

We have discovered the following workarounds to get your accounts connected:
Missing Facebook Page
Missing Business Instagram account

Missing Facebook Page

  1. Create a new Facebook Page by following the instructions here: https://www.facebook.com/business/help/104002523024878. The newly-created Page can be completely blank, and you can select any name and category for it (for example "Test") - you won't need it for anything except for connecting to the Ripl app.
  2. Remove the Business Integrations for Ripl in your Facebook settings by following the steps below.
    Mobile: 
    1. Open your Facebook app
    2. Select the "More" button (three-line icon) in the bottom right corner
    3. Select "Settings & Privacy," then "Settings" (it is near the bottom)
    4. This should lead to a new window.
    5. Go to "Business Integrations," and remove Ripl

    Computer: 
    1. Go to www.facebook.com and make sure you're logged into the account that is connected in Ripl
    2. Click the small down arrow in the upper right corner, then "Settings"
    3. On the left-hand menu, click "Business Integrations"
    4. Remove Ripl
  3. Return to the Ripl app and tap "Refresh" or "Connect" next to Facebook and then "Connect" next to Business Instagram. On this step, you'll be asked which Page you want to connect to the Ripl app It is essential that you select "All Pages" here, even if you are not seeing the Page linked to your Instagram. A checkmark signifies that all are selected, while the dash signifies that only some are connected.
  4. Once done, click on "Connect" next to Facebook Pages and you should see the missing Facebook Page there!

Missing Business Instagram account

  1. Create a new Facebook Page by following the instructions here: https://www.facebook.com/business/help/104002523024878. The newly-created Page can be completely blank, and you can select any name and category for it (for example "Test") - you won't need it for anything except for connecting to the Ripl app.

    The issue regarding your Business Instagram is because Ripl is not able to see the Facebook Page associated with the Instagram account. Since we look up the Instagram account via the associated Facebook Page, resetting the visibility of Facebook Pages in Ripl should restore both the Facebook Page and your Business Instagram.
  2. Remove the Business Integrations for Ripl in your Facebook settings by following the steps below.
    Mobile: 
    1. Open your Facebook app
    2. Select the "More" button (three-line icon) in the bottom right corner
    3. Select "Settings & Privacy," then "Settings" (it is near the bottom)
    4. This should lead to a new window.
    5. Go to "Business Integrations," and remove Ripl

    Computer: 
    1. Go to www.facebook.com and make sure you're logged into the account that is connected in Ripl
    2. Click the small down arrow in the upper right corner, then "Settings"
    3. On the left-hand menu, click "Business Integrations"
    4. Remove Ripl
  3. Return to the Ripl app and tap "Refresh" or "Connect" next to Facebook and then "Connect" next to Business Instagram. On this step, you'll be asked which Business Instagram you want to connect to the Ripl app and then click Next.

  4. On this step, you'll be asked which Page you want to connect to the Ripl app It is essential that you select "All Pages" here, even if you are not seeing the Page you are attempting to connect. A checkmark signifies that all are selected, while the dash signifies that only some are connected.
  5. Once done, click on "Connect" next to Instagram Business and you should see the missing Instagram Business there!
